Moon Football
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 September 2026
Moon Football (Android package
com.christosgeorgoulakis.moonfootball) is a mobile football
game published by Christos Georgoulakis, an individual
developer. This policy explains what the game stores, what it sends, and who
it sends it to.
The short version: the game has no accounts and never asks you for personal information. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to fill in. What leaves your device is limited to anonymous gameplay statistics, crash reports, and the data needed to show adverts.
What stays on your device
Your progress is saved on the device and is never uploaded:
- Your league season — fixtures, results, standings, and rewards you have won
- Your squad line-up and substitutions
- Whether you have muted the sound
- Which app version you last dismissed an update prompt for
- Your advertising consent choice
Uninstalling the game deletes all of it. There is no cloud save and no copy on a server.
What is sent, and to whom
| Service | What it receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics for Firebase | Anonymous gameplay events, plus a randomly generated app instance identifier, device model, operating system version, language, app version, and approximate country derived from your IP address | To understand how the game is played — which matches are finished or abandoned, whether the tutorial is completed, which abilities get used |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash and error reports, including the technical state of the app at the moment it failed, device model, operating system version, and a randomly generated installation identifier | To find and fix crashes |
| Google AdMob | Your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and how you interacted with an advert | To show adverts, and to measure them |
| GitHub | Your IP address, when the game checks whether a newer version has been released | To tell you an update is available |
The gameplay events sent to Analytics are things like: a match started, finished or was quit; the tutorial was started or completed; a league was started, completed or reset; a superpower was used; a substitute was brought on; an advert was offered, watched or dismissed. They record what happened in the game, not who you are.
No advertising or analytics data is used to identify you personally, and none of it is sold.
Adverts and your consent
The game shows adverts through Google AdMob. Some are shown automatically between matches; others are optional and offered in exchange for an in-game reward.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will be asked on first launch whether you consent to personalised adverts. This choice is yours and you can change it at any time from Menu → Settings → Privacy Options.
Declining does not remove adverts and does not restrict the game. You will see the same number of adverts; they will simply not be targeted using your advertising identifier. Every part of the game remains available either way.
If adverts cannot be shown at all, the game continues without them.
Children
Moon Football is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights and choices
- Reset your advertising identifier or opt out of ad personalisation at any time in your device settings, under Google → Ads.
- Change your consent choice in the game, under Settings → Privacy Options.
- Delete everything stored on your device by uninstalling the game. To have analytics or advertising data deleted as well, see Delete your data.
- If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to your national data protection authority.
To make a request about data held by the services above, contact us using the details below. Please note that analytics and crash data are not linked to a name or an account, so a request may need the app instance identifier shown by those services to be actionable.
Google's own handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and, for advertising, at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Security
All data leaving the game is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. The game holds no servers and no database of its own — everything described above is handled by Google's own infrastructure under its security practices, and your saved progress never leaves your device at all.
Because the game has no accounts, there are no passwords or login credentials to protect, and none are ever collected.
No system is perfectly secure. If you believe you have found a security problem with the game, please report it to the contact address below.
Data retention
Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for Firebase according to the retention period configured for the project. Crash reports are retained by Crashlytics for up to 90 days. Advertising data is retained by Google as described in its own policy.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address and the date at the top will change.
